Teen Driving
Delaware driving school regulations may seem harsh, but they are
only strict because teen driving is so dangerous. Poor Delaware teen
driving comes from a combination of three things – lack of experience,
feelings of invincibility, and peer pressure. Teen driving school is
meant to give you a base of knowledge to prevent accidents on the
road.
However, young adult drivers cause more accidents in Delaware than any
other age group. Risky behavior that teens often exhibit include the
following:
- Speeding
- Racing on the highways
- Carrying more passengers than seat belts
- Running stop signs and red lights
- Road rage/aggressive driving
- Illegal passing
- Drinking and driving
Across the country, thousands of teen drivers die in car accidents
every year. By requiring Delaware driver’s ed classes and restricting
driving with a permit and with a junior license, some deaths are
prevented. Ultimately, though, it is up to the driver to act
responsibly and avoid dangerous driving situations.
