Delaware DMV History
The Delaware Division of Motor Vehicles (also known as the DMV) is a
part of the Delaware Department of Transportation. This agency was
created for two reasons – to regulate drivers and to give Delaware an
organized way to control the income stream from traffic tickets. Today,
the Delaware DMV income is a vital part of the state budget, as well as
important to the safety of drivers throughout the state.
